Unfortunately, our partner from Turkey left our project in November 2020 due to the Covid 19 epidemiological situation.

Our school is located in a village in which all students come from. There are one hundred and sixteen students from eleven to fourteen years old. Nearly all children have disadvantages for many reasons such as poverty, ignorance from their family, divorced parents etc. For that reason, our main goal is to prepare them into real life issues and make them be aware of the outer world. We are a secondary school that both must apply the curriculum and teach real-life skills. We, as a school, focus on individualism, self-reliance, physical care and mental development on students. Our students partake many competitions in board games. We have many medals especially in girls’ football team. We try to encourage them to be proactive and to take responsibility for their own development. We try to support them both educationally and pastorally, bringing real-world lessons into the classroom to better prepare them for their future. Our students, then, are well-prepared to undertake and benefit from the ventures the project can offer them.

Our school gives importance the students’ relations with other cultures. They need to see the outer world in order to understand that there are other lives alongside themselves. We are planning to have a penfriend school that students can easily communicate with students from other culture. Our teachers make them develop their sense of empathy. We are making various school projects such as Tübitak. We support them for protecting the environment and we have agricultural skills workshop in our school garden. This reality is our motivation to attend this project.

The headmaster will administrate the project and the key person who will lead others is Cansu Çakar. If a problem occurs in the future, Batıkan Güre, Maths teacher will take part of this project as a responsible one.

We do not have any experience with international project but as we have various skills with craft, we can contribute if you tell us what we can do for the project.
